Historical tour of Charleston
Your tour begins at the Charleston Visitor’s Center, where you will see the original plan of The Walled City. Hear about all the firsts of the great city of Charleston; the First Chamber of Commerce, the First Museum, the First Pharmacy; The First Municipal College.
Lunch on own and free time at the Old City Market
Visit Historic Boone Hall Plantation
This plantation has been open to the public since 1959. Boone Hall is also one of America’s oldest working, living plantations. You will get to tour the house where you will first be entertained with a live performance “Life in the South” depicting the charm and romance of the old south. You will tour Slave Street and be entertained with a live interpretation of the Gullah culture featuring Sharon Murray of Gullah Enterprises. Then it is on to the Garden Tour where you will see antique roses that are over 100 years old.

Depart Savannah for Jekyll Island
Meet your Tour Guide for a St. Simons Island Tour
You will do a drive-through tour of the Fort. On the north end of the island is the hauntingly beautiful Christ Church built in 1736. On its grounds is the spot where John Wesley, the father of Methodism, first preached, and a wooded cemetery where many of the Island’s earliest settlers are buried. Stop at the St. Simons Lighthouse, one of only five surviving light towers in Georgia and the most visited one.
Historic district for a Tram Tour of Jekyll Island
At the turn of the century, tycoons, politicians, and socialites flocked to Jekyll Island to revel in their own luxury and America’s burgeoning wealth. The Jekyll Island Club included impressive members included such as J.P. Morgan, William Rockefeller, Vincent Astor, Joseph Pulitzer, and William K. Vanderbilt.

Tour of Historic Savannah
The two-hour tour of the Landmark Historic District is chock full of beautiful homes, and the finest urban forest in the country with its 25 parks in one square mile. Savannah is a living history museum, not a theme park. Visitors will enter St. John the Baptist cathedral and well as one it the famous squares to experience its greatest uniqueness, the 1733 City Plan that is still alive and well today.

Low Country Tour
This 3-hour tour gives you the opportunity to see several other beautiful historic districts, including the Victorian Section and the Beaus Arts designed Ardsley Park. Taste treats await you at River Street Sweets, then on to Tybee Island past famous Ft. Pulaski and the unique salt marshes that separate the barrier islands from the mainland. You will stop at the lighthouse, then enjoy some time at the beach.

Dinner at Chef Darin’s Kitchen Table
You will close out your amazing adventure with an “Interactive Cooking Demonstration” tonight. All of the food preparation will be done up at the chef’s island and chef will ask for volunteers to help him prepare the different menu items.

Wondering how to meet the group at Minneapolis International Airport (MSP)?
Traveling to the airport is on your own, but we have compiled a few options for you, please contact us with any questions.

Option 1

Start your vacation relaxed and stay the night before and/or after at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Bloomington for a special rate of $129.00/night plus tax, paid at check-in. During your stay enjoy a complimentary breakfast, free parking at the hotel, and complimentary shuttle service to/from the airport. Meet your tour escort at the Terminal #1 ticket counter.

Let Jaybee Travel know if you would like this additional stay hotel option before the final payment, and JayBee Travel will make the appropriate reservations for you.

Option 2

Drive yourself to the MSP Terminal #1 on-site parking, approximately $23/day, and meet your tour escort at the ticket counter. Call ahead for availability (651) 726-5555.

Option 3

Drive yourself to the Park ‘N Go offsite airport parking in Bloomington, MN, for approximately $12.00 per day, and meet your tour escort at the ticket counter. This facility has a shuttle service that will meet you at your vehicle, the shuttle driver will help with your luggage and drive you from the lot to the airport terminal.
