Friday, April 26 | Charleston, SC

Board motorcoach for your Charleston Historic District Tour
Your tour begins at the Charleston Visitor’s Center, where you will see the original plan of The Walled City. Departing the Visitor’s Center, you will begin the Charleston Historic District Tour. Hear about all the firsts of the great city of Charleston; the First Chamber of Commerce, the First Museum, the First Pharmacy; The First Municipal College, all right here in beautiful Charleston.

We visit The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, where you will have the opportunity to visit the Cadet’s Chapel where they worship, (based on availability). Continuing, you will see the Joseph P. Riley Stadium, named in honor of the longtime Mayor of Charleston and home to the Charleston River Dogs and on to The Battery, one of Charleston’s most historic sites.
Lunch
Included lunch today will be at Lewis’s BBQ in Mount Pleasant
Next, step back in time for a historic visit to Boone Hall Plantation
The Boone Hall Plantation has been open to the public since 1959. Boone Hall is also one of America’s oldest working, living plantations. You will get to tour the house which begins on the front porch where you will first be entertained with a live performance “Life in the South” depicting the charm and romance of the old south. You will tour Slave Street and be entertained with a live interpretation of the Gullah culture featuring Sharon Murray of Gullah Enterprises. Then it is on to the Garden Tour where you will see antique roses that are over 100 years old.
Return to the hotel to relax and refresh

Saturday, April 27 | Charleston, SC

Tour Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum
Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum is a National Historic Landmark and home of the Congressional Medal of Honor Museum. You can walk the neck of the U.S.S. Yorktown, the famous “Fighting Lady” of World War II, which is the flagship of the Patriots Point Fleet. Special exhibits honor the World War II Fat Carriers, Escort Carriers, Battleships, Cruisers, Submarines, Destroyers and Destroyer Escorts thereby making Patriot Point one of the most comprehensive World War II naval museums anywhere.

Free Time
Take the afternoon to explore the Charelston City Market, one of the nation’s oldest public markets and the cultural heart of Charleston.
Dinner
Included dinner cruise this evening in the Charleston Harbor. There’s no better way to experience Charleston and her history than from the deck of The Spirit of Carolina. The ship features two enclosed climate-controlled dining salons, open observation decks and a full-service onboard galley. Enjoy an unforgettable three-hour harbor tour as you savor a three or four course gourmet meal choosing one of five entrees. We also offer music, entertainment, and dancing on each of our two dining decks.

Historic Trolly Tour
All aboard! Enjoy a historic trolley tour of Savannah! The tour begins at the hotel. Here you will get an overview of the City of Savannah, The Hostess City of the South. The tour will take you through the 2.2 square mile National Historic District of one of the most beautiful cities in America. The City of Savannah, laid out in 1733 by General James Oglethorpe, is the first Master Planned communities in America. The tour will include seeing some of Savannah’s famous monuments which are dedicated to our leading citizens.
Dinner
Included dinner this evening is at Corleone’s Trattoria. Corleone’s mission is to bring a taste of Italy and the Mediterranean region to your dinner table.

Monday, April 29 | Golden Isles, GA

Breakfast
Enjoy an included breakfast at the hotel.
Golden Isles
Depart Savannah for a day in the Golden Isles of Georgia, starting with a tour of Jekyll Island.

You will board a tram for a tour of this 240-acre, riverfront compound, which is one of the largest, ongoing restoration projects in the southeastern United States. History will come alive through your professionally trained guide.
Lunch
Enjoy a lunch on your own at any of the restaurants in the Beach Village.
St. Simons Island
After lunch we will depart for St. Simons Island and a tour the largest of Georgia’s fabled Golden Isles.

We will do a drive-through tour of Fort Frederica.

On the north end of the island is the hauntingly beautiful Christ Church built in 1736. On its grounds is the spot where John Wesley, the father of Methodism, first preached, and a wooded cemetery where many of the Island’s earliest settlers are buried. You will have an entrance to Christ Church.

Stop at the St. Simons Lighthouse, which consists of four structures including an 1872 brick lighthouse. This is one of only five surviving light towers in Georgia and the most visited one.

You’re off to a educational culinary experience with Chef’s Darrin’s Hands On Cooking Class. In December 2013, he opened his own cooking school with hands-on cooking classes in Savannah, GA, located in the Starland District of Savannah.
