Minnesota History Tour

May 14-16, 2026

Discover the music, arts, and cultural history of our own state – right in our own backyard! This three-day coach tour begins with pick-ups in Hibbing, Chisholm, Virginia, Eveleth, Duluth, and Carlton. You will stay two nights in the historic St. Paul Hotel.

Historic stops and tours during your three-day tour include Paisley Park (Prince’s home &
studio), the American Swedish Institute, the Turnblad Mansion, the Mill City Museum, St. Anthony Falls Visitor Center and Lock & Dam, behind-the-scenes tour of the Como Park Conservatory, a Mississippi River Sightseeing Cruise, and a performance of ‘Little Women’ at the historic Guthrie Theatre.

Thursday, May 14
Your 3-day historic adventure starts with pick-ups on the Iron Range, Duluth, and Carlton. You will make a quick stop in Hinkley for a late breakfast/early lunch on your own. Then, get ready to start your history tour!

First stop – a look inside the life of famous singer Prince at his Paisley Park home and recording studio! Explore his extraordinary estate and production complex. Fans, music lovers, and curious individuals have the unique opportunity to experience what it was like for Prince to create, produce, and perform inside this private sanctuary and remarkable production complex. Throughout the experience, visitors will see artifacts from Prince’s personal archives, including iconic concert wardrobe, awards.

Next, you will check-in to your historic home for the next two nights at The St. Paul Hotel. An included dinner is close by at St. Paul’s, Louis Italian Restaurante.
Friday, May 15
Start your morning with an Included Breakfast at the Hotel Restaurant! Then, depart for a day of exploring arts and culture throughout Minneapolis!

Start with a stop at the American Swedish Institute and Turnblad Mansion. Discover this Nordic-inspired cultural hub with art exhibitions, educational programs, and the historic Turnblad Mansion.

You will enjoy a lunch on your own at Malcom Yards Food Hall, before making your way to the Mill City Museum. Built in the ruins of what was once the largest flour mill in the world, the museum takes you through Minneapolis’ history of becoming a flour milling powerhouse.

Next, take a walk to the historic St. Anthony Falls Visitor Center and Lock & Dam. Get a panoramic view of the Upper St. Anthony Lock and Dam, St. Anthony Falls, and the surrounding Mill District while also learning about the area’s place in Minnesota history. During the tour, rangers lead you out onto the lock walls and tell you all about how the falls changed the course of history of the region and of the greater nation.

An included dinner is next at Minneapolis’ historic Jax Café, before enjoying a magical night of theatre at the Guthrie Theatre with a performance of ‘Little Women’.
Saturday, May 16
Start your morning with an included breakfast at the Hotel Restaurant! Your first stop will have your green with envy! Get a rare look at the Como Park Conservatory as you travel through the many gardens of the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory with this behind-the-scenes tour. Discover how the garden staff keep the conservatory looking lush and green all year long and produce the many spectacular and beloved Sunken Garden flower shows. This tour is a unique opportunity to “peek behind the curtains” and get your daily dose of green!

You couldn’t leave the Twin Cities without an adventure on the water! Sit back and relax during your Mississippi River Sightseeing Cruise – a narrated 90-minute tour enjoying the sights like the St. Paul High Bridge, Pig’s Eye Cave, the Minnesota River mouth, and Pike Island. Then you will make your way back to the Northland with amazing memories of your arts, music, and cultural historic tour!

Trip Cancellation Insurance

Basic insurance includes trip cancellation and interruption coverage, travel delay, medical and evacuation, baggage, and assistance services. Enhanced insurance includes all the above, plus cancellation due to pre-existing conditions. Exact insurance costs will be calculated based on your dates of travel, and cost of the trip. This will be done online at the website above.
